Casual and Lively with Something for Everyone
With locations at 155 W. 43rd St. (6th-7th avenues), and 212 W. 57th St. (7th-Bdwy., just up the block from Carnegie Hall), is an old-style NYC diner that really isn’t, since it’s part of a restaurant group in Manhattan with other types of food, too. However, the menu is full of the food that you would expect in a “real” diner, and they serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and late night meals. Huge sandwiches, bagels and lox, french toast/pancakes/omelettes, matzo ball soup, burgers, dawgs, salads, eggplant parm…..you get it. This place has a lot of everything and is a fun spot, too. Very casual and lively.
Legacy & Super Ambassador
A native of Queens, I currently reside in Minneapolis. I ran the Twin Cities Marathon twice, as well as New York and Dublin. Over the years, I completed many half-marathons, as well as 10K races.
While now a member of the “senior circuit” with my distance running days behind me, I have countless memories of my daily runs in Chicago, continuing in Oakland with beautiful Lake Merritt across the street from my apartment, and on the countless trails around the lakes and in the woods of Minnesota.
My biggest fan, my daughter Sarah, died of cancer in 2013 at the age of 24. My primary charity focus is the annual scholarship fund set up in her memory at Eastview High School in Apple Valley, MN. Scholarship details are available at www.evcg.org.
