Legendary Family Style Italian Food
Carmine’s is particularly good for large families. It’s legendary, and the food is plentiful and family style. It’s also noisy and bustling, and iconic. The location, the one off Times Square especially, is perfect for additional sightseeing.
I started running in 2013 at age 42. Since then, I’ve completed more than 20 marathons, 35 half marathons, three 50Ks (that’s 31 miles!). I’ve raced internationally in Angola, Brazil and Canada as well as throughout the U.S. I enthusiastically enjoy runs of all distances, including regular park runs in Maryland, my home base. I’m almost always at the back of the pack and love to speak to the DFL (Dead F’ing Last) experience. I’m a huge animal lover, I believe strongly in rescuing animals and finding them suitable homes. With so many worthy shelters, rescues and people involved in this cause, I urge my fellow runners to find their local rescue providers and support them in any way possible, whether this means by volunteering or financially or both! I’d also like to give a shout-out to a start-up coffee company, Quality Hill Coffee, which sources and roasts the best coffee I’ve ever had. The owner roasts-to-order and donates the proceeds to dog rescue.
