A Good Runner Place to Load-up
This Texas born restaurant is a local favorite with popular dishes such as Pollo Rosa Maria, Chicken Bryan, Marsala and of course their signature pastas. This is my carb-loading spot! The soup and bread alone were a meal in itself. I was amazed by their minestrone soup. It is hands down the best I’ve had at a restaurant. It was not heavy on the salt and just very enjoyable. The customer service was great. Our server was kind enough to help me create an off-menu pasta dinner. The serving was huge! After eating bread and soup I didn’t even get through a quarter of my plate. I had enough to take home and eat the next day. Even had enough to share with my sons. This is definitely a good runner/racer place to load-up. It’s not really a t-shirt and shorts type of place but casual dining. I recommend this place to visitors and locals alike. It’s a great place to eat and enjoy good company pre or post race. With 6 locations in the greater Orlando area there is bound to be one nearby.
I officially became a marathoner on Jan. 13, 2019 by completing the Walt Disney World Marathon in Orlando. But this was a big year for me: I quickly followed my first 26.2 with marathons in Prague, Milwaukee and Berlin. Previously a half marathoner and a competitive runner in the 5K, 10K and 15K levels, I’ve taken on new challenges by sharing my experiences with others.
I’m also an RRCA-Certified coach and the owner of Team Vega Fit. I’m a former Army Drill Sergeant and Infantryman that never quits and instills the same discipline into my athletes.
