High Standard Food at a Reasonable Price
Cornucopia is a well known vegan and vegetarian restaurant in the heart of the city. With their own cook book, their food is of a very high standard and reasonable enough. Their menu varies with the products available – well worth a visit.
Legacy Ambassador
I first laced up the runners in May 2015, up to then I couldn’t run for a bus! My brother was fighting stage 4 Hodgkin Lymphoma and I wanted to do something for charity – so I got in contact with the Irish Cancer Society and was accepted by them to run the Boston Marathon in 2017. Six months later I ran my first marathon in Dublin. Since then, I’ve ran 9 marathons in total – Dublin three times, and once for Cork, Boston, Chicago, London, Berlin and the NY Virtual Marathon. This year, I completed Tokyo and New York, completing the World Marathon Majors. I’m far from the quickest runner, but the release it gives me is incredible and the friends I have made along the way are lifelong ones. I’m a member of the Waterstown Warriors and have been involved in coaching C25k programs with them.
I hope to be a great voice for Dublin and Ireland as an ambassador. Dublin is an incredible running city. Where else can you boost of having a city that has one of the largest city parks in the world (Phoenix Park), where you can do hill training up in Howth, go coastal running in Sandymount or Clontarf, or hit the Dublin mountains for trail running? There’s always weekend races as well as Park runs – the free 5 km races held in numerous locations. I know Dublin like the back of my hand – they have some of the best places for that recovery meal or for carbo loading. Need running shops? We have some of the finest in Ireland. I’d love to be able to share this knowledge with others!
