A Hidden Gem that I've Loved for Years
Da Nico is a wonderful Italian restaurant which I have loved for many years. Located in the heart of Little Italy, the back room (which you can’t see from the front) is a hidden gem. The food is incredible, the ambiance so New York, and you will be dining with locals and perhaps some celebrities, too. My family ran into Rudy Guliani and his entourage a few years ago, so you know that the food has to be special. And back then he was actually a pretty nice guy, taking photos with us and being almost a regular guy.
Legacy & Super Ambassador
A native of Queens, I currently reside in Minneapolis. I ran the Twin Cities Marathon twice, as well as New York and Dublin. Over the years, I completed many half-marathons, as well as 10K races.
While now a member of the “senior circuit” with my distance running days behind me, I have countless memories of my daily runs in Chicago, continuing in Oakland with beautiful Lake Merritt across the street from my apartment, and on the countless trails around the lakes and in the woods of Minnesota.
My biggest fan, my daughter Sarah, died of cancer in 2013 at the age of 24. My primary charity focus is the annual scholarship fund set up in her memory at Eastview High School in Apple Valley, MN. Scholarship details are available at www.evcg.org.
