Great area for people watching
We’ll be the first to admit that Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square are two of the most touristy places to go in San Francisco. However, if this is your first time to San Francisco, it’s worth spending a little time at least walking this stretch of the city. If you’re traveling with kids, a few highlights for them are going to be: the sea lions at Pier 39, the Aquarium of the Bay and the Powell-Hyde Cable Car Turntable (turnaround).

I am a half-marathoner, triathlete and co-founder of Racertrips LLC. I’ve completed the Chicago Triathlon eight times, and I’ve run several half marathons from coast to coast, including in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, and St. Petersburg, FL. I am thrilled to be able to combine my enthusiasm for running, the outdoors and traveling to build Racertrips out as an information resource for other marathoners, half marathoners and triathletes.
