If you’re looking to dine where deep dish all began, Pizzeria Uno and Due tops my list for “the full Chicago experience.” Pizzeria Uno says founder Ike Sewell created the Deep Dish Pizza in 1943 and opened Pizzeria Uno. When that restaurant grew to capacity, it didn’t have room to expand at its location. What did Ike do? Opened Pizzeria Due on the opposite street corner.

I ran my first marathon at age 50 in Bordeaux, France, and have finished more than 64 marathons and 4 ultras since then. I’m a qualifying member in both Marathon Maniacs and the 50 States Marathon Club. I’m aiming to finish my 50th state this year in Honolulu, and I have my eye on completing all six of the Abbott World Marathon Majors. I’ve already ran Berlin, Chicago, New York and London and I’m looking to finish up with Boston and Tokyo in 2019.
