Great Place for Kids
I’m a sponsor and a volunteer at Shedd Aquarium. Many of their mammals were injured in the wild and the aquarium will rehab the mammals and re-release them if they can survive. If not, they remain at the Shedd as a permanent home. As you can imagine, the Shedd is a great place for kids, and they get to encounter 32,000 animals from the world’s aquatic environments, including sting rays you can touch and a live dolphin show. The Shedd was the first inland aquarium with permanent saltwater exhibits as well as freshwater habitats.

I’m a three-time Chicago Marathoner and an avid triathlete, who qualified for the USA Triathlon National Championship every year from 2012 until 2018. (This year, I took time off to be with my wife and our new baby girl.) I was a Top 25 finisher in the 2015 Chicago Triathlon, and I qualified for the TOUGHMAN Championship race in 2016 and 2017, and prior to that, I completed two full IRONMAN competitions. I’m the Head Masters Swim Coach at the East Bank Club in Chicago and the principle of Rummel Insurance, a third-generation company specializing in commercial and personal lines of insurance.
