The Best Way to See the City
San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and there’s no better way for someone that appreciates being active to see the city than with a walking tour. Wild SF Walking Tours offers a free tour everyday at 10 AM which meets in Union Square and is a great orientation to the city. They also offer a few speciality walking tours through exciting neighborhoods like the Mission, the Haight, and the Castro.
I ran my first 5k 10 years ago and immediately became hooked on racing. My favorite distance is the half marathon and I run them in Portland, San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland. I ran the California International Marathon as my first and only full marathon distance but will undoubtedly run one again. In addition to running, I love road biking and have ridden my bike four times from San Francisco to Los Angeles as part of the AIDS Lifecycle. When I’m not running or biking I’m certainly outside in some way, shape or form, most likely hiking wherever I can.
